Wedding (s) ;p
My paksu and couz, Shaiful is getting married. They are my sedara from mama's side. Paksu is her youngest brother, and Shaiful is her sister's first son. They made the wedding serentak, on the same day. I have always been close to my paksu. Thou the wedding is held at the kampung, paksu wanted me to make the hantaran for him. And my Mak Long (shaiful's mother) want to tumpang sekaki.
Initially, it was only 7 bekas for each. But when i went back few days before the wedding to get the barang for the hantaran, it has double up to 13 bekas each, leaving me to finish up 26 bekas in 3 days. And since i have plan to go to Kuala Kangsar (KK) the next day, i am left with only 2 days! But hey, i'll take the challenge. Bring it on...! hahaha...but seriously, if u're doing something from the heart, something u purely have interest in, and really passionate about, u will make it thru. With flying colors.
I came back to KL and straight away went shopping for the stuff and stay up all night til dawn to finish the 1st half of the hantaran. Went to KK the next day. And for the next 18 hours, i did nothing but just that. Result : amazing. Hehe.
We drove back to kg mama at 3am in the morning. Her place is in Kedah. Well, not exactly, it is more of a sempadan of Perak, Kedah and Penang. And her kampung itself is so kampung, that u hardly have any phone coverage there except for celcom. Back to the wedding. Saturday was the reception for the bride side, for both. Between 12noon to 2pm, we manage to went to both side of the reception. We went to Paksu's first, (oh, btw the hantaran for both sides end up to be 17 bekas each!! Kg style-lar where people give barang last minutes. Errgh!) then Shaiful's. More meriah on his side since the wife is the only girl in her family. On sunday, was the reception for our side. It went on pretty well. Despite the heat (panaaaaas sgt!!) i really like the way they organize the whole thing. It was lovely. It seems rather peaceful to have weddings on mama's side rather than baba's side.
And next week, my other couz, from baba's side is getting engage. Let see how they manage it this time.
