well, here it goes, as i have promise u, a good post ;)
i just came back from a trip to Beijing. This is my second overseas trip. At my age, i would have dreamed for such opportunity, yet, it came true. And as usual, it was a blast. So much fun. So much joy. I cant believe i have set foot at the Great Wall. (thou i didnt make my way to the top, as the saying goes, it's for dummies, haha!). Being with amazing people (this time included my parents : aint that suppose to be the minus point? ;p), acquiring amazing tips, it's no wonder people said 'jauh berjalan, luas pengalaman'. U really learned a lot about other people's culture and lifestyle, which lead u (well, at least me) to appreciate your own. But the best part would be....shopping-lar!!! we have like 3 shopping sessions kot, but believe it or not i have only been to 3 (or maybe 4) shops. Like one at each stop. We pick a good shop (so-called lar) and sat there, bargaining for like 2 and 1/2 hours! but i tell u, it was worth it-lar!!! sooooo unlike me! but truly, such an experience to go thru.
the food was good (eatable lar compare to the korean ;p). i have put on 2 kilos when i get back, damn! the people were very much friendly thou we didnt communicate well (u know, like ayam cakap sama itik...yet, they're friend what, like that lar, hehe!). the wheather was cold, that u started getting lots of 'frost-bite'. (paper-cut-like but from the cold. i dunno what u call it, but i'm calling it that ;p).
i enjoyed the trip very much: from the stay to the hotel, food, shopping, to the open toilet ;p
i love the amazing people i met during the trip: from andyka to fifi to tina and the singaporeans.
looking forward for the next trip. scheduled to be in korea (again!). this time it's summer.
All in all, there's no place like my own-lar ;)
